What Is Chiropractic Care?
Stresses to the body both physical or mechanical cause the vertebral column and extremities to subluxate from their designated joint positions, causing inflammation and swelling, which compresses nerve structures of the nervous system housed between the brain and the entire body. Decreased nervous system function causes decreased physical and mechanical function, and diminished bodily performance. Chiropractic adjustments shift all the vertebrae and extremities back into their proper designated joint positions and allowing the nerves to communicate freely between brain and body. When this decreased neurological function is restored, pain and symptoms diminish or disappear.
Why Should I Get Chiropractically Adjusted?
The question we like to ask here at Evolve is, why are you not getting adjusted? The benefits of chiropractic care outweigh many unnecessary medications and surgery, and there is less risk associated with chiropractic care in general vs. other medical interventions. Chiropractic adjustments are specific to correction of subluxations of both the spine and extremities. If left untreated, thеѕе subluxations can саuѕе diѕruрtiоn of the nervous system bеtwееn the brain and entire body, which is responsible for all function and performance. The primary goal of the chiropractic adjustment is to restore function to the spine and extremities, which causes pain and symptoms to diminish or disappear.
Who Should Get Chiropractically Adjusted?
Chiropractic care benefits any person from newborns to the elderly. Children are normally subluxated during the birthing process or from child related accidents like slips, falls, or some other trauma. Chiropractic adjustments however, can help to realign both the child's spine and extremities. Unlike adults, adjustments on newborns or children require much less force, and simply applying pressure is usually enough to make the correction.
